Italian Rice Balls with Marinara Sauce Recipe

Italian Rice Balls 

2 tbsp of olive oil

1 medium small diced onion,
5  minced garlic cloves
1 lb of ground beef
1 lb of ground veal
1 cup of minced Italian flat leaf parsley
2 tbsp of minced fresh thyme 
1 tbsp of dried oregano
2 tsps of kosher salt

1 tsp of black pepper
1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp of cayenne pepper

1 1/2 cups of tomato sauce
2 cups of grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups cooked and cooled Arborio rice (cooked it until it is just done, don't overcook it)
5 eggs
3 cups of breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning
Some Canola oil for frying
3 tbsp of fresh basil, minced
Marinara Sauce (homemade recipe store-bought)
Special equipment: (small-medium) ice cream scoop
